NCCW Centennial Prayer
Heavenly Father, we give You thanks and praise for the
National Council of Catholic Women’s
100 years of service to the Universal Church.
We are thankful for the Bishops who founded NCCW in 1920
and for the beautiful and inspiring legacy provided by our leaders,
Spiritual Advisors, and NCCW sisters who have preceded us.
We give thanks to Our Lady of Good Counsel
for guiding us to be loving and courageous leaders in building
the Kingdom of God.
Lord, we pray that You stir the hearts of all Catholic women
to realize the value of serving Your Church and society
through membership in the NCCW.
Bless us with many more workers in the vineyard as we embark
on our next century of Spirituality, Leadership and Service.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns
with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan
and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Please say this prayer everyday, that St Michael will help us during this time of trial.

This we ask through the merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
MAGNIFICAT
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
My Spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
For He has looked with favor on His lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
The Almighty has done great things for me,
And holy is His Name.
He has mercy on those who fear Him,
In every generation.
He has shown the strength of His arm. He has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
And has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of His servant Israel, For He has remembered His promise of mercy. The promise He made to our fathers,
To Abraham and his children forever.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy
How to Recite the Chaplet
The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades. The Chaplet is preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Faustina and followed by a closing prayer.
1. Make the Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
2. Optional Opening Prayers
You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us. (Repeat three times)
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!
3. Our Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.
4. Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
5. The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
6. The Eternal Father
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
7. On the Ten Small Beads of Each Decade
“For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.”
8. Repeat for the remaining decades, saying the "Eternal Father" (6) on the "Our Father" bead and then 10 "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion…" (7) on the following "Hail Mary" beads.
9. Conclude with Holy God (Repeat three times)
Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
10. Optional Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

Prayer for Families
Holy Family of Joseph, Mary and Jesus, we ask for your intercession for the families of our community. Joseph, you taught Jesus the skills of your trade--help us as families to work together and to pass on skills to our children. Mary, you nurtured and comforted Jesus--help us to have mealtimes and quality time together so that our children can feel loved and cared for. Joseph and Mary you were living examples of your faith in God, teaching Jesus to pray and worship with the community---help us as we to go Mass and pray together, to abide by the Ten Commandments, and to live in the grace of the sacraments. Jesus you learned to love and respect the authority of your earthly parents--help our homes to be sanctuaries of guidance that our children will trust and appreciate. Mary you encouraged and supported Jesus in his ministry---help us to support our children with prayer as they create their own homes. Help us as couples to remain true to our wedding vows, strengthening the family as God originally ordained it to be. May our homes be shrines of peace, love and faith where our children can grow in holiness? Amen.

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life.
